Terms, Privacy & Refunds
1. Terms of Use
This website is operated by Briggs Advisory Group LLC ("Briggs Advisory Group," "I," "we"), a Texas limited liability company. By using this site you agree to these terms.
Informational content only
Content on this site — including articles, examples, illustrative dashboards, and case-study material — is provided for general information. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it does not create a client relationship. Advice is provided only under a written engagement agreement. Illustrative figures shown in demonstrations are examples, not client data or promised results.
Intellectual property
The site's content, design, and the "Briggs Advisory Group" name and wordmark belong to Briggs Advisory Group LLC. You may not copy or republish site content commercially without written permission.
No warranties; limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Briggs Advisory Group LLC is not liable for damages arising from use of this website or reliance on its general content. For engaged clients, liability terms are set out in the written engagement agreement; absent a different written term, total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
2. Engagements & Fees
- Every engagement's scope, deliverables, timeline, and fixed fee are confirmed in writing before work begins. There are no hourly meters or surprise invoices.
- Published founding-client rates are limited to the first five clients and honored for the life of those engagements; list rates apply thereafter.
- Project engagements: 50% deposit to begin, balance on delivery, unless the written confirmation says otherwise. Retainers bill monthly in advance.
- Client responsibilities: timely access to the financial data the scope requires. Deliverable dates shift day-for-day when required data is delayed.
- Deliverables (models, dashboards, memos) become the client's property on full payment. My working methods and templates remain mine.
- Confidentiality: client financial information is used only to deliver the engagement, is never sold or shared for marketing, and is disclosed to no one except processors necessary to the work (see Privacy) or as required by law. A mutual NDA is available on request.
3. Payments & Refunds
- Processing. Online payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never seen or stored by this site or by Briggs Advisory Group LLC.
- Finance Clarity Snapshot guarantee. If the Snapshot findings memo does not show you at least one material thing about your business you did not already know, say so within 7 days of delivery and the fee is refunded in full.
- Deposits. An engagement deposit is refundable in full any time before work begins. Once work has begun, the deposit is earned against work performed; any unearned portion at cancellation is refunded.
- Retainers. Cancel any time with 15 days' notice; no refunds for the month in progress, and no charges after the notice period ends.
- Disputes. If something's wrong, email seth@briggsadvisorygroup.co before disputing a charge — refunds are handled faster than chargebacks in every case.
- Currency & taxes. All fees are in U.S. dollars. Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes.
4. Privacy Policy
What is collected
- Contact form: name, email, company, and your message — via Netlify Forms — used solely to respond to you.
- Consultation booking: name, email, and scheduling details you provide to Calendly when booking.
- Payments: handled by Stripe; I receive confirmation of payment and your name/email, never card numbers.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 collects pseudonymous usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) via cookies to understand how the site is used.
- Client engagement data: financial records shared during an engagement are governed by the confidentiality terms above, not used for marketing, and deleted or returned on request after the engagement closes.
How it is used — and not used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, deliver engagements, and improve the site. It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing. Outreach emails I send include a working opt-out; opt-outs are honored permanently.
Service providers
The site relies on a small set of processors, each receiving only what its function requires: Netlify (hosting and form handling), Google Analytics (usage analytics), Calendly (scheduling), Stripe (payments), and Namecheap Private Email (email). Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
Cookies on this site are limited to Google Analytics measurement. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site works fully without them.
Your choices
Email seth@briggsadvisorygroup.co to ask what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and I will respond within 30 days. This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
5. Professional Disclosures
Credentials. Seth Briggs holds the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) and Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAP™) certifications issued by the Corporate Finance Institute, and a BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas.
What this practice is not. Briggs Advisory Group LLC is not a CPA firm and does not provide audit, attest, assurance, or tax-preparation services. It is not a law firm, and it is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer — nothing here or in any engagement is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell securities.
Valuation work. Valuation analyses are prepared for strategic planning and transaction support. They are not certified appraisals and are not intended for tax, litigation, or other purposes that require a credentialed appraiser (e.g., ASA, ABV); where those are needed, I'll say so and help you find the right professional.
Results. Financial models and forecasts are estimates built on assumptions and client-provided data. Actual results will differ. No business outcome is guaranteed.
